• Android, Inc. was founded in California, 
United States in October, 2003 by Andy Rubin 
to develop smarter mobile devices.

• On August , 2005 GOOGLE acquired Android  • On August , 2005 GOOGLE acquired Android 
Inc. making Android Inc. a wholly owned 
subsidiary of Google Inc. and made Andy, CTO of it’s mobile operations

• In 2007,the Open Handset Alliance a consortium of
